Pixel Qi at Computex 2012 (video) Conferences & Trade shows e-Reading Hardware
Charbax is still in China, and a few days ago he caught up with Brian Graham of Pixel Qi. Brian didn't have much new to sat about Pixel Qi's products, but he did pin down the release date of their newest 10" screen and he did show some pretty gadgets.

The new 10" screen is going to have a screen resolution of 1280x800 when it hits the market in the last quarter of this year, making it a upgrade on the existing 10" screen (1024x600). The new screen is also going to show increased color saturation, which will make the screens be less affected by the sun.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Wow, Pixel Qi has become one of those products I don’t care about anymore. Right up their with Marisol. It took so long to see something live and when it did, they turned to be quite mediocre.

Now, they have improved the new screen, but 1200×800? No thanks. Hopefully it at least has wide viewing angles.
