M-Edge Now Shipping Cases for the Nook HD, HD+
A tablet without a case is an accident waiting to happen, and that’s why I’m glad the case for my new Nook HD+ arrived today.
My new case is from M-Edge. The reason I picked it is because I didn’t like any of the ones made by B&N. All the ones I saw in the B&N store were either cloth covered or vinyl covered, and none lived up to the quality of the tablet they’d be wrapped around. The vinyl cases looked cheap, and the cloth cases are guaranteed to be dust magnets.
So I had been waiting for several weeks for M-Edge to release their first cases, and they finally got the first shipment from the manufacturer earlier this week.
The case in question is the Incline 360. It has a faux leather exterior, a gray suede interior, and is designed to hold the Nook HD at several different angles. Thanks to the pivot in the back you can rotate the tablet so it can be propped up in either portrait or landscape.
Aside from the pivot and the built-in stand, this is a fairly simple case. It lacks the pockets or other extras found on some cases or the Bluetooth keyboard found in a few iPad cases. But that’s fine by me because it does everything I need and is solidly made.
It’s selling on the M-Edge website for $40 and $50, which is slightly higher than what the similar vinyl cases would cost at B&N. The extra is worth it, I think.
