Customer Helps Install First Drive-In Apple Store in Chicago

No one really likes to wait to be served at a brick-and-mortar store and it seems one elderly motorist has found the solution to our frustrations.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Lincoln Park Apple Store has been inadvertently converted into a drive-in. According to witnesses on the scene, a Lincoln Town Car crashed through the storefront this evening.  The driver is reportedly an older gentleman who first ull straight into the store and then turned to the right, taking out several sheets of glass, an innocent table, and several stools in the process.

There aren’t any reports of serious injuries (otherwise I wouldn’t be making light of the accident), though there is a report of one person being taken to the hospital with minor injuries.  There is also a report that this driver may have been using Apple Maps on his new iPhone 5 to find his way home, though that has yet to be confirmed.

Technically, this wasn’t the first. Last September, a driver in Temecula, CA used his BMW X5 to give his local Apple Store a take-out window: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0-tru0NbG0 .
