Penguin Relaxes Kindle Restrictions on Library eBooks

overdriveOverDrive announced some good news Thursday afternoon.

Random Penguin Solutions has changed their mind on the Penguin ebooks which OverDrive is now selling to partner libraries. Library patrons can now transfer the ebooks they have checked out to their Kindle over Whispercast and not just over USB.

That’s good news for users, but it’s still not great news. OverDrive might be carrying 17,000 Penguin titles now but they are still licensed under a 1 year expiring license.
