Kobo for iPad, iPhone v7.8 Adds New Sign-in Option

Kobo for iPad, iPhone v7.8 Adds New Sign-in Option e-Reading Software Kobo Kobo released a new version of its iOS app, but I'm not sure what has changed.

According to the changelog the new app adds a way to group ebooks by series. It also reportedly adds an option to log in with your Google+ account.

While the former feature is going to be useful, the latter feature was already present in the app. I checked before I updated, and Google+ was listed as a way you could sign in (assuming you're one of the hundreds of people with an active account).

If you see another unannounced feature after you update your app, please leave a comment.

  • Convenient group by Series option in your Library.
  • New Google+ sign-in.
  • Bug fixes and general improvements.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
