Bookeen Launches Cybook Muse Light, Muse HD

Far from being moribund, Bookeen has just announced a couple new ereaders with features other ereader makers added last year.

The Muse HD is a 6″ ereader with a 300 ppi (1448 x 1072) Carta E-nk HD screen which features a frontlight, 8GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and Wifi.

It is essentially a competitor to the Kindle Paperwhite, and will retail for 130 euros when it ships on Thursday.

The Cybook Muse Light is competitor to the basic Kindle. It has a 6″ Carta E-ink screen (600 x 800 screen resolution), a frontlight, 4GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and Wifi.

Its retail price is 100 euros. it will also be available this week.

“With the arrival of these two new readers, the Muse family now offers to all users a reading solution according to their needs," Bookeen founder Michael Dahan said in a statement. "From an illuminated e-reader at a low price to an elegant top-range product, Bookeen offers everyone the ideal product. These new products will be sold in more than 500 retail stores in the world by the end of the year”.

Carta e-ink, touch screen and physical turn page buttons, USB slot… It all sounds very promising.
Just surprised that the web page mentions 3 dictionaries only, French, German and Italian.
Unless additional dictionaries can be added easily I would be reluctant to get this ereader as about half the books I read are in English. Shame really, it seems like a big omission.
