HEY! Are you allowed to just call yourself the best surviving book blog without an actual contest???? What about a Poll? A vote? Somewhere where we can stuff the ballot box???

Nate Hoffelder February 16, 2017 um 3:24 pm

But people say I have the best stories, and that I am a great writer – did I ever tell you about my uncle whowon the Nobel prize for literature – good genes there, the best genes, so why would we need a poll?

You re-post news article from other sites with your opinions attached. How does that make you an excellent writer? Lol

Nate Hoffelder February 16, 2017 um 9:14 pm

Heh. And here I thought that was an obvious Trump joke. 😉

Actually, Nate is a good writer, some of his pieces explore subjects in depth. And he does some solid reporting on the industry too. So, yeah, I would vote for best book blog.

I thought he was a blogger, not a writer.

You can be a blogger and a writer. Some blogs are simply links. Others are links with a little commentary. I think The Digital Reader goes beyond that with more commentary and opinion that the usual technology blog and even some actual reporting (like tracking down facts and breaking news). There is also the issue of the quality of the writing, even if it is mostly commenting on links and other news. Nate’s "writing" about the industry is a hell of a lot more interesting and "well written" than most ebook blogs.

I am pretty sure they ere joking.

Hi Nate, there are approximately a zillion people out there offering WordPress website help. I even see that one can setup a WordPress website on their own.

What can you do to make my WordPress website standout?

Obviously any content I write must be good enough to attract regular visits, just as you have achieved.

But what makes you stand out from the rest

Nate Hoffelder February 17, 2017 um 1:36 pm

Hi Fred,

What I can do for you really depends on what you want to get out of your site.

But what I bring to the table is first-hand technical expertise: I have encountered and solved all the problems you might face. I am also quick, thorough, and my years of blogging have given me the habit of providing detailed technical explanations on what, why, and how.
