Barnes & Noble Marks 20th Anniversary with Harry Potter Book Night in Select Stores Barnes & Noble

Saturday is the 20th anniversary of the US publication of Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone, and B&N is celebrating the milestone by holding events in select stores.

No B&N stores near me will be hosting events, but it would appear they are the exception. From Los Cruces Sun-News

Barnes & Noble Mesilla Valley Mall will host a Harry Potter Book Night at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the publication of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" in the United States.

Barnes & Noble is bringing the magic of Harry Potter Book Night, an event that began in the U.K., to local fans. This year, fans around the world will be participating in Harry Potter Book Night events, and Barnes & Noble in Las Cruces is joining the celebration with a Fantastic Beasts-themed event featuring the mythical creatures that are at the heart of the Harry Potter series, according to a news release.

Fans new and old are invited to the store, located at 700 S. Telshor Blvd., for Fantastic Beasts-themed activities, and a limited edition Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Illustrated Edition poster giveaway, while supplies last.

You can find out more about the events, and check to see if a store near you is holding one, on the B&N website.
