Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. “Indies Unlimited reports that free ebook promotions don’t work nearly as well as they used to…”

I now have a years long TBR pile. To get me to even look at an unknown author takes a very good story that grabs me in the first pages or a recommendation from an author who has a track record of making recommendations I like.

  2. The list of books you don’t have to read, transposed with books you should read was an interesting take on book recommendations, but any list worded as “books you should read” makes me resist even reading it. I’m not in school. It’s not up to someone else what SHOULD read.
