New Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet Clears the FCC

A device that is almost certainly belongs to Amazon cleared the FCC earlier this week.

I can’t really tell you much about the device because the specs have been embargoed, but I can tell you that it was tested for Wifi and Bluetooth, and that it has a microSD card slot, a camera, an audio jack, and a USB port.

Oh, and it is referred to as a tablet in several of the testing paperwork, so it very likely is not, say, an Alexa-enabled home appliance. (I didn’t think it would be but one should take care not to jump to conclusions.)
