Feedly Debuts Power Search To Help Users Find Stories On The Web

search-cloud2x[1]The king of feed readers launched a new power search feature today which it promises will not only search a user’s entire history of all their feeds, but also search beyond the feeds and podcasts they follow .

According to Feedly:

With Power Search, you can search across 40 million sites, magazines and blogs and find the best content related to your industry, a brand or a product. We index 50 million new article every day, organize them by topics and keywords and sort them by engagement on feedly and social networks. It is the fastest way to find relevant content and boost your marketing and research projects.

When Feedly launched its paid service tier a year and a half ago, one of the features was a rather anemic search function which couldn’t find diddly, and what they’ve launched today sounds much improved.

It is still reserved for Feedly Pro users only, so I can’t confirm how well it functions, but Android Police was impressed:

While not as exhaustive as a Google search, Feedly’s offering is quicker and easier to manage. It’s far too soon to think of it as a replacement, but it’s not a bad supplement for people with paid accounts. The feature is available right away on both the web and Android devices.

Have you tried it? What did you think?
