Inside the Kobo Touch
Luckily for me the FCC paperwork was released form an embargo a while ago, and I can finally show you what the KT looks like inside. Unlike the Kobo Vox, whose photos I posted yesterday, the KT is a strictly minimalist design. There’s no internal card slot and I don’t see any way to make changes to the device short of a soldering iron.
To be honest, I’m not sure that thetells us anything new. Kobo had already told everyone that the KT was designed by Ideo, and that it was running on a Freescale CPU. It’s using a 6″ E-ink screen, and it has Wifi, a microSD card slot, IR touchscreen, and 2GB of Flash storage.
