Kindle Unlimited Funding Pool Grew in September 2018 While the Per-Page Rate Rose

Amazon announced on Monday that the Kindle Unlimited funding pool grew to $23.4 million in September (plus bonuses), up from $23.3 million in August 2018. At the same time the per-page rate royalty rose dipped slightly, falling to $0.0048848, compared to $0.004491 the prior month.

The $23.4M pool is for September 2018, not August. And I think you missed the lede – the September payout is 0.004885, the highest so far this year (per Kboards posters.)

Nate: The US rate for Sept still hasn’t been updated in your post, and others are picking up the incorrect figures from here. Can you update, please? (I’ll also notify Written Word.) Here are the amounts I have for Sept 2018.

Thanks for pointing this out!

In case anyone is wondering, the reason i got the US rate wrong was that I misread my source. They show both the rate in dollars and in euros, and due to their poor formatting I copied the wrong one.
