Latest Nexus 7 Planned Leaks Include Images, Ship Date
Google is widely expected to announce a new Nexus 7 on Wednesday, and based on the latest planned leaks I think Google wants to make sure everyone knows everything about it in advance.
(Is a leak still a leak of its deliberate?)
First of all, we now have an official product render. The famed tipster @evleaks tweeted the image last night, and based on the accuracy of the past info shared by @evleaks we can assume that this is the real thing:
In other news, a "leaked" ad flyer for Best Buy indicates that the new Nexus 7 will be available next Tuesday. The flyer also confirms that this tablet will cost $229, ship with 16GB of storage, and have a screen resolution (1920×1200) that will make any iPad Mini fanboy try to argue that screen resolution isn’t everything.
At this point the new Nexus 7 is the most leaked device ever, surpassing even past Asus or Nexus devices. So much information has been "leaked" that I think it’s time to retire the word, and instead we should call these leaks for what they are.
The info I have today came from intention information releases. I’m still trying to find a good word to describe what Google marketing agency is doing here, but I do know the word leak no longer fits.
Update: A reader supplied the word that I missed: Teaser. Thanks, Ben!
