Margaret Atwood on ebooks (video)

The Big Think shot this short video of Margaret Atwood. They only ask her 3 questions, but I think it’s worth a listen. She is really interesting person to listen to and read. You should go find her on Twitter.

There’s a transcript over on The Big Think if you can’t see the video.

Also, the video doesn’t appear to work in the RSS feed but it is working on the website.

I love Atwood’s writing, both in terms of style and in content. Last semester, she spoke at Davidson, my alma mater, and she was full of energy and sharp insights into social media.

I’m glad to see the link to her video here — but I think the comment about her being "unphotogenic" is unnecessary. She’s 71 years old, not a young hot-shot. Also, why not include the link to her Twitter account instead of saying "find her on Twitter"?

Wow, the internet is going to be filled up with spam and porn so there will be no room for e books. Wow!

I go to bookstores all the time and experience Serendipity. I just go home and download the book I saw at the bookstore for far less!

If I were Atwood I would be glowing about eBooks. I never read an Atwood book until I got my Kindle. While an eReader may remove "serendipity," it creates privacy to buy and look at what to buy.
