New Sipix e-reader shows up in Russia

The effire Citybook 3G has just been announced in Russia. It’s based on the standard 6″ Sipix screen with a capacitive touch screen, Wifi, 2GB Flash storage, SD card slot, and the usual ebook support you’d expect to find in Russia (fb2,, epub, djvu, doc, rtf, pdf, txt, html). Like other Sipix ereaders, the Citybook also has a web browser, RSS feed reader, and a few games.

It also has 3G, but it’s not yet clear what will be covered or if it requires a data plan.

Retail has been set at 9990 rubles ($355 USD).
