Kindles Still Winning Over Nooks In the Classroom (Infographic)

Inside Higher Ed posted this infographic earlier this week. It’s drawn from a survey of 10 thousand US college students, and while it is short it does offer a look at what technology students want to use in the classroom.

I found this interesting because it shows that nearly half of students understood the value in properly using an LMS (like Blackboard).  There’s also been a sudden increase in demand for free and open source textbooks.

But the one detail which surprised me was that the iPad didn’t beat the Kindle in the ebook section of the survey. I would have thought tablets would be more useful. Perhaps the question was phrased wrong.
