Throwing more wood on the Kindle Epub fire
I’ve been asking around about the Kindle Epub rumor and I’ve received a couple interesting responses. I swear that this post isn’t SEO bait or gossip; I really do have some info to share.
One of my sources reported hearing mutterings from publishers. They’ve been talking about Amazon and Epub for a little while now, but it wasn’t clear if this was an actual leak or perhaps confusion on the technical details.
But that’s not the interesting one. My other source is a blogger and she contacted publishers that she’s worked with before. She hasn’t gotten a response, and the silence speaks volumes.
If the publishers hadn’t known anything abut the Kindle Epub story then they would have been able to converse freely. I don’t know what they would say, but they would have said something. The only reason i can see for them to remain silent is that they are under some kind of NDA for this topic.
I still don’t know what’s going on, but I’m beginning to believe that there is _something _ happening here. The responses are just too odd for this to be a coincidence.

anyone notice that the Kobo app is offered in the Amazon app store? hmmm…..epubs. didn’t either Nate or Mike suggest recently that Amazon would buy Borders and end up with a share in Kobo?
