Between the Folds of a Pop-Up Book (video)

Whether it unfolds into a computer or a planetarium, everyone loves pop-up books. But have you ever wondered about the design and engineering that goes into making one?

Earlier this month NPR’s Science Friday interviewed pop-up designer Matthew Reinhart, and he shows how he goes about  designing a pop-up book with paper cut-outs that can extend to nearly two feet.
