Brian O’Leary: mobile reading comes of age [presentation]

by Piotr Kowalczyk of Password Incorrect Please read carefully this fantastic presentation on mobile reading prepared by Brian O’Leary.

It all began with first popular e-reading devices in 2006/07. E-books started to move from a desktop phase to a mobile phase. Mobile means convenience. Convenience of a printed book – and much beyond. It’s a matter of time when we skip using the word “mobile”. It becomes obvious, that everybody prefers a lightweight, portable device to handle reading of electronic books.
In a presentation you’ll find what are the advantages and take-aways of mobile reading, as well as key factors to success and trends to watch.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
