Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Seems like a weak retort to Kobo and B&N. Maybe they have something else for tomorrow?

If they really have a “Coyote” and “Hollywood” on the way, I think we’ll be hearing official word very soon. 🙂

  2. They ought to give the $25 gift certificate for purchase of one as they did for Mother’s Day. Father’s Day is a comin’.

There’s a reason B&N will not be doing a 3G version of the new Nook (and are getting rid of the old model with 3G). It’s expensive for the companies.

So many fulfillment centers and customer service areas have been opening up, with hundreds of jobs in each that come with good benefits, that something is up. I haven’t seen that kind of gearing up except during the holidays. Not immediately, but I’d say sooner than we expected.
