B&N Nooklit Now Shipping

B&N Nooklit Now Shipping e-Reading Hardware

It looks like Barnes & Noble decided to bump the ship date up a couple weeks.

The Nook Glow, which according to the website is supposed to ship 7 May, is coming a lot sooner than expected. B&N is now sending out emails saying the Nook Glow is due to ship today. One of my readers reported getting one, and then just a few minutes ago I got one.

My order is expected to ship out today. That would tend to make last night's visit to see one in a B&N store redundant, but I thought it was worth it. I might not have ordered one without that visit.

Make up your bloody mind! First you say you don’t want it, then you have one incoming! Sheesh.

I just hope QC didn’t suffer in this rush. They don’t want a bunch of YouTubes and posts from people talking about how it’s not worth the extra money.

There’s a difference between owning one because I blog about it and owning one because I want to use it.

I preordered the Nook back on April 12th, and expected ship date for me is still May 1. I don’t think that these units are in general shipping early. I think that a select few are receiving theirs early. Could be you pre-ordered the quickest, and it was first come, first serve. Or BN are letting you reviewers have first crack.

I only ordered mine this morning, and trust me, B&N corporate is not going to help me get one early. They hate my guts.

Yeah that was pretty funny that they wouldn’t have you for their premiere. I learned about that new nook from your website before they even released it, so no matter what BN does you remain on the cutting edge of ereader news!

The truly ridiculous part about excluding me was that if they’d included me I would not have been able to post that picture. They shot themselves in the foot with that one.

B&N’s media event was held in a NYC penthouse bedroom. Space was limited. I’m sure many people were not invited.

Perhaps, but B&N could have fit me in the next day or any time the following week (I did ask to see it). If you read my post from Friday you’ll know why I was snubbed.
