KU Per-Page Rate Falls as the Funding Pool Grew in January 2018
I have some good news and some bad news for authors today; while Amazon increased the funding pool for Kindle Unlimited last month, they also let the per-page rate fall by about 5%.
Amazon announced on its support forums on Thursday that the KU Funding pool was $20.9 million, an increase of $1 million from December 2017. Amazon also revealed to authors that the per-page royalty was 45 48 hundredths of a cent, a drop of 3 hundredths of a cent from the previous month.

Eh, it’s a gamble and a game. Those that don’t like the odds/payouts will gather up their toys/stories and play elsewhere.
