This ereader runs Android 4.0.4 on a single-core 1GHz CPU with 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, and a microSD card slot. Its 9.7″ display has a screen resolution of 825 x 1200 along with a frontlight and capacitive touchscreen.

In term of connectivity, it has Wifi and Bluetooth. Unlike the related German models, there’s no speaker, headphone jack, or microphone (also no electromagnetic touchscreen with stylus).

Weighing in at 450 grams, the Prometheus measures 9.5mm thin and packs in a 3Ah battery. It is available tomorrow with a price of 23,990 rubles, or about $384 USD, and comes with a sleepcover.

That was a typo. Thanks for catching it.

Yikes, I would love to have the same thing, but with 300ppi, dual core, and a more recent version of Android. The Prometheus would work well for people who don’t already have something similar. For me, I’ll be sticking with my Onyx Boox m92 until Onyx (please !) releases a more modern version of a 9.7″ eInk reader.
