HP Touchpad to go on clearance at BestBuy, past sales get a price-match

Now this is an interesting morning. BestBuy decided some time late Saturday night that they would indeed be selling the TouchPad at clearance.

Edit: This post is from Sunday morning.

The word going around on Twitter yesterday was that BestBuy had decided return their supply of TouchPads rather than sell them off.  But then late last night one of the official Twitter accounts for BB started tweeting links to a new FAQ. BB started selling the TouchPad for $99/$149 last night, and you should be able to pick them up in-store today. Theoretically you should be able to buy one in-store, but I suspect that they were all reserved online last night.

Oh, and the BB news gets better. They're also going to price-match all the TouchPads they sold. if you got one as early as launch day then you can get a refund that will cover the difference between what ever you paid and the clearance price.

I wonder if that is why BB delayed the clearance sale? They may have wanted to offer something to make their past  customers happy.
