KNV to Sell iriver Story HD in Germany – 139 euros

The German book wholesaler Koch, Neff, und Volckmar announced today that they would soon be carrying iriver's latest ebook reader, the Story HD Wifi.

They're going to formally launch it at IFA-Berlin later this week, but I can't find what the actual release date or who will carry it.  This is indeed the Wifi model, not the one that had previously been sold in Europe. Retail will be 139 euros. The Story HD Wifi will be tied to their ebookstore.

KNV is a distributor, not a retailer, and they support around 7,000 booksellers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. They also distribute ebooks to their retail partners, and according to Wikipedia they have around 35 thousand titles in their ebookstore.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
