Dasung Paperlike Pro + iPhone (video)

I am still working on new videos for my review of the Dasung Paperlike Pro, but in the meantime I would like to share this video from Sol Computers, Dasung's retail partner here in the USA.

Chris Swanner used an HDMI converter cable to connect his iPhone to a Paperlike Pro. He then mirrored the display of his smartphone on the 13.3" Pro.

With the resolution differences, it is obviously not a perfect fit, but it does hint at the possibilities.

I expect to post my review this weekend.

The short version is that I think the Paperlike Pro is great for word processing and reading text, but not much use for web browsing, and it is completely useless for video and gaming.

“I’ve been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It’s a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog.”
