Amazon Prime Reading is coming to Germany
Launched in October 2016, Amazon Prime Reading is a small catalog of ebooks that Amazon Prime members in the US can read for free.
Soon the service might be arriving in Germany.
Reports are coming in from Germany that Amazon is recruiting authors for a local Prime Reading service.
Self-Publisher Bibel said that authors in self-publishing groups on Facebook have been getting emails from Amazon in which they are invited to participate in the program.
Authors have until 10 May to accept the offer, and if they do they will have to put their title into KDP Select for a minimum of 90 days. As a compensation for this, Amazon is offering a flat payment between 200 and 1000 Euros, depending on current sales figures.
Amazon offers similar flat-rate terms for books in Prime Reading here in the US.
