Kindle Unlimited Funding Pool Grew in August 2018 While the Per-Page Rate Didn’t Change

Amazon announced on Friday that the Kindle Unlimited funding pool grew to $23.3 million in August (plus bonuses), up from $23.1 million in July 2018. At the same time the per-page rate royalty essentially didn’t change, remaining at   $0.004491, compared to $0.004460 in June and $0.00454 in May 2018.

That makes sense if there are more books going into the KU program than are leaving it. So far, Amazon seems very committed to KU.

Per-Page Rate seems to be high enough to keep enough writers in the KU, no reason for it to go up.

I recently jumped back into Kindle Unlimited for a couple months(I had KU for 3 months in 2015). Will jump back out and hopefully snag a year deal on Black Friday. Much better selection than 2015. They are dominant in the 5.99 and below sci-fi, fantasy and regular fiction categories. KU value is improving for avid readers.
