Who Needs Feedly When You’ve Got a Star Wars Reader?

starss Bored with your regular RSS feed reader? Then you might want to try a new Star wars themed RSS reader that I've just found. It's called StarSS, and it shows the titles from an RSS feed as the title crawl from Star Wars.

You even get the opening soundtrack, and as you can see it looks pretty cool.

The above screenshot shows my RSS feed, which you can find here. The headlines behave just like links, and clicking on one will take you to the article.

This feed reader is the work of Github user fotcorn, and it can be downloaded for use elsewhere if you like. But if all you want to do is display your favorite RSS feed, grab the link I posted above and edit out my RSS feed. With very little work you can have any feed you like will be scrolling up the screen like an Imperial Star Destroyer is after it.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
