You probably recall how LG’s new plastic backed E-ink screen is more durable than previous screens, but it wasn’t until today that I got the chance to prove it. One early reviewer in Russia already has the FlexOne and he posted a video where he tried to kill it.
His attempts are only half-hearted, but a couple of the hits taken by this ereader would definitely have killed any other E-ink screen.
In the past I’ve shown you another flexible screen, but I believe that one used a metal foil back, not plastic. So far as I know that screen hasn’t hit the market yet, and I don’t expect it to. It looks like LG went with the plastic backed screen instead.
Haha, in Soviet Russia eReader does not hit the market, the market hits the eReader!
