MooInk Pro 10.3″ eReader is a Sony DPT-CP1 Clone

As you may know, Sony’s DPT-CP1 10.3″ writing slate runs Sony software on hardware designed and built by the Taiwanese ereader maker, Netronix (we found this out from the FCC paperwork).

Netronix makes ereaders for a number of companies, including Kobo and Barnes & Noble, and now Netronix has licensed a CP1 clone to its local partner, Readmoo. They’re calling it the MooInk Pro, and it is scheduled to ship on 16 July.

The MooInk Pro runs Android on a quad-core 1.2 GHz with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage (no card slot). It' 10.3″ Carta E-ink screen has the expected 1404 x 1872 resolution, and it has a capacitive touchscreen but no frontlight. it does however have a powered stylus with a rechargeable battery.

Weighing in at 240 grams, the Pro has a 2Ah battery and measures under 6mm thick.

All in all this is a great design from Netronix, and I’m glad they are offering it to companies other than Sony. For example, this is probably what Mobiscribe’s new 10.3″ ereader will look like when it is launched.

Very nice. I do wish it had a micro Sd slot

I wonder how you transfer the files to a computer or to another software?

A USB cord, or over Wifi/BT
