New ebook reader out of Taiwan – Teclast K6

Teclast has just announced their second ebook reader. The K6  has a 6" E-ink screen, and is reported to be more capable than Taipower's first ereader, the K3. There is no word yet on price or availability, but one company spokesman has said that the timetable is "soon".

It has page turn buttons on both sides of the screen, a d-pad and 15 keys below the screen. I can't find anything on the functions assigned to those buttons, or any other technical information. But the Taipower rep said it's supposed to share the K3's ultra thin design.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
