Neilsen to sell The Bookseller

The BookSeller is reporting that it's going to be sold:

Media research company Nielsen has agreed "in principle" to sell The Bookseller to its managing director Nigel Roby. Negotiations are expected to conclude at the end of April. All the editorial, sales and marketing and events teams will remain in place.

Roby said: "It will be an enormous privilege to take over The Bookseller and become a part of its 152-year history. The UK publishing industry is a world-beater and it is incredibly important that The Bookseller is a vibrant part of it. "At a time of great change for the book industry, all of us here are looking forward to continuing the development of the magazine and its internet and event offerings."

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
