E-reader: free to a good home

I have one of these in my collection. It's the StoryBook inColor, and it's made by Aiptek. This ereader cost about $200, and it is targeted at the 8 and below age bracket. It's not doing me any good, so I want to give it away.

I'm looking for a primary school teacher, preschool teacher, or someone with child care experience who would be willing to write a 500 to 700 word review for this blog. You can keep the ereader.

If you are interested, please post a comment with a brief bio. Also, if you know of someone who might be interested please send them a link to this page.

P. S. So long as I have your attention, I'm also looking for someone who would like to write about iPad/iPhone apps. Every so often I am offered a freebie, and I don't have an iPad.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader: "I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. I am not a primary teacher, but I have a great person to test out iPad apps for you. He is a contributor to my blog and a great iPad user and tester! Definitely of the digital generation. If you are still looking for someone, send me an e-mail!

  2. Dear Nate,
I work as a community manager and consultor in Arteixo, a small town in Galicia, Northern Spain. I worked as a EFL teacher for 11 years. I have a blog on digital books and children. I have a son and a daughter of 10 and 6. They are very fond of gadgets, video editing, games and reading on screens as well. I’d be happy to write a review for your blog, as long as you didn’t mind re-reviewing, I mean reviewing my review as, not being a native speaker, I’m sure there will be several things which will not sound nice enough. We could do it all together and even send you some pics or a video of the experience if you like the idea.
Anyway, Whatever your answer is, I’d like to thank you for all the interesting info I get and share from your blog.
    Bicos grandes!
