Pocketbook 701 clears the FCC

One of Pocketbook's new devices just cleared the FCC today. Unfortunately, Pocketbook hid any identifying details (like last time). At least, that's what they thought. It didn't work. I know what device it is. It's the Pocketbook IQ.

Take a close look at the image. The diagram bears a striking resemblance to the backside of the white Pandigital Novel. It should, becuase the Pocketbook IQ is the same hardware as the white Novel. I'd bet money on it.

Look at this, if you don't believe me. The back cover is different, yes. But the battery, speakers, card slot, and battery plug all line up.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
