New Rockchip CPUs demonstrated and explained (video)

Charbax of spent a few minutes with Rockchip the other day and they showed him the full abilities of the RH2818 and RK29 CPUS.You'd have to be pretty geeky to know who this company is, and they're one that the gadget blogs really need to keep an eye on. They might not have the publicity, but in terms of quality and sophistication they're on the same level as Nvidia, Marvell, Samsung, and the other big names.

I know of some ereaders that use a RockChip CPU. The Skytex Primer does and so do all of Gajah's ereaders. The Elonex 700EB has impressive video abilities for the price and that wouldn't be possible without the cheap CPU.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
