Borders continue to sell off subs

AnnArbor.com are reporting that Borders have sold Day by Day Calendar Co., , a chain of 400+ kiosks and mall stores that sell calendars. The buyer was Austin, Texas-based Calendar Holdings LLC, and the sale price has not been announced.

Curiously enough, there's a Day by Day store in my local mall.

In the past year, Borders have sold their HQ, Paperchase (a greeting card maker), and now they're selling Day by Day. How long do you think it will be before Borders' stake in Kobo gets the chop? Now that is something they could sell and probably for more than the original investment.

Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
