7″ iPhone clone clears FCC, runs Android

7" iPhone clone clears FCC, runs Android e-Reading Hardware Another tablet has cleared the FCC. This one has a 7" screen, as well as Wifi, 8GB Flash, microSD card slot, HDMI out, and according to the user manual it has 2 USB ports which suggests USB host.I'm not entirely certain what CPU or ANdroid version it's running, but I've done some digging and I think it has a 6oo MHz CPU and runs Android 1.5. Don't quote me on that, though.

One thing that I always check with Android tablets is where they have the Home, Back, and Menu buttons. They're not on the face of this tablet but at least they're on one edge. It could have been worse.

S whose tablet is this? I don't know.

Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."
