Morning Coffee - 27 June 2018 Morning Coffee

Here are a few stories to read this Wednesday morning.

About Nate Hoffelder (9909 Articles)
Nate Hoffelder is the founder and editor of The Digital Reader:"I've been into reading ebooks since forever, but I only got my first ereader in July 2007. Everything quickly spiraled out of control from there. Before I started this blog in January 2010 I covered ebooks, ebook readers, and digital publishing for about 2 years as a part of MobileRead Forums. It's a great community, and being a member is a joy. But I thought I could make something out of how I covered the news for MobileRead, so I started this blog."

  1. Of course those of us with vision issues change the fonts/zoom to make things easier to read. 😛

And none of their book covers caused me to want to go see what they were all about …

  2. bout – “a short period of intense activity of a specified kind.”

bought – “past and past participle of buy.”

  3. Blogging isn’t dead for those of us who realize that social media is terrible. 😛

  4. Interesting time for DC area paper book lovers—three bookstore openings in the space of a week: new Politics and Prose branch in NoMa (gorgeous store), Solid State Books on H St., and now the new Amazon. They’re still hanging in there, folks.

  5. Those covers are horrible. Of course, they are literary, so they don’t interest me in the slightest. *laughs*

I prefer action packed genre covers at any time. (But then, I’ve been studying covers for two or three different genres for the last six month, learning about what works, what doesn’t, and what differs from genre to genre. It’s an art.)
